Went on a full-day excursion to Viking Age sites today. Despite the windy, wet, and muddy conditions, I'd say it was worth going to. It was amazing to be in the presence of where Vikings once lived. We visited grave sites, churches, old towns from 10 centuries ago; saw where they gathered, and saw engraved rune stones from 10th-12th centuries. Going through rural areas and tiny towns, it was comical to see children stare at our large tour bus as if they've never seen a vehicle so big.

The most interesting town we visited is called Sigtuna. It was fascinating because its framework has more or less stayed the same since the 12th century. It's a tiny town (we walked through it all in about less than an hour maybe), and everything there was tiny. In other words, perfect-sized place for me to live in. Nah, just kidding. I don't think I'd ever be able to live there. Maybe a stay for the weekend to have a quiet atmosphere, with the beautiful lake near by. As we were walking through the main road (Stora gatan - photo above) of shops and restaurants (mind you, this single street could take you less than 10 minutes to walk through), it was common to see random cats and dogs running around. Even they were tiny!

Anyway, I'm home and exhausted now. But I have loads of homework to do! Hopefully I become productive..

Ps. Going to Geneva on Friday! Can't believe how fast time flies.
