May 13, Final day in London

We arrived at St. Pancras at around 3:30, where we all soon planned to split up to attend to our plans for the day. Madusha to hang with E, me to hang with M, and Liatrice and Anna to shop at Oxford Circus. But first, we made our final stop as a group of four to King's Cross Station to see and take photos by Platform 9¾. Already back from Paris and set to go to Hogwarts! Before separating, we left our baggages at Left Luggage for the day so we didn't have to drag them all over the place - we'd had enough them, causing us to run strenuously through Paris! E was already waiting for Madusha outside the station so she had to leave at once. We sadly said our final good byes and she was off. Liatrice, Anna and I took the tube together where they would get off two stations before me. We were to meet at Heathrow later on that night.

I arrived at Waterloo station where I took a long walk around, passing the London Eye, Big Ben, a few bridges, and the Thames; admiring its beauty for the last time this year. Despite the semi-chilly wind, it was amazing out as the sun shone through patchy clouds. At first, none of us thought we'd have the opportunity to whip out our sunglasses in London, but there I was, with sunglasses shielding the brightness from my eyes! After walking around for a couple of hours, I met up with M. We went to Camden Town where we walked through Camden Market and Camden Lock (And just for the record, I found out after the trip that Madusha visited the exact same places I visited with E that same day. That always happens to us! Ohh, the connections). I was told that Camden Lock was beautiful, but it was hard for me to maintain that thought after M told me missing cut up bodies thrown into the water by a murderer still lied beneath its surface. Not exactly what I expected to hear after being told how pretty it was. Later, we walked to Primrose Park where we walked up a hill. When we got to the top, we could see a beautiful view of the city. It was really nice to just sit and stare, to just feel at peace knowing what a blessing it was to be there. Many others sat and stared as well; looking at the view of London on one side, and watching the sunset on the other.

After eating at Nando's again (I swear M has a craving that will never be satisfied), I picked up my luggage at King's Cross and took the tube on a long journey to Heathrow Airport. M joined Liatrice, Anna and I to keep us company until we were able to check-in for our flight at 5 in the morning. We talked, joked around, took naps, and ate snacks that M brought to share. When 5am finally rolled around the corner, we said our goodbyes to M and were ready to check-in to head back to Stockholm. While we planned this trip, I told myself that these visits would be my last to London and Paris. There're just so many more other things to explore in the world. Why visit the same two cities for a third time when you've already experienced them? But this trip gave me a change of heart. I've fallen in love with both London and Paris all over again, and I know that I'll return some day in the future.

Overall, an amazing trip I'll always remember. And I'm glad to have experienced it with these three
